Position: Oracle DBA with IMS
Location: NJ
Period: 1 yr
Rate: $53/hr
Cleint: Pharma
This individual must have an IMS background with usage of that background
within the last year.
Senior DBA. The candidate will continue to enhance strong partnerships with counterparts across IM, Responsibilities include software installation, upgrades and maintenance of IMS, Oracle, DataStage and layered products; design and implementation of database backup/recovery and security strategies; physical database design and implementation; database monitoring and tuning and batch scheduling utilizing Maestro. Deep knowledge of administration tools such as IMS Utilities, IMS Connect, Oracle Enterprise Manager, RMAN, STATSPAK and Omegamon is mandatory. Candidate should also possess wide knowledge of disaster recovery techniques, Veritas NetBackup, ServiceGuard, Data Guard to implement and maintaining high availability solutions. Manage the physical development, test and production databases on multiple platforms
in a validated and SOX compliant environment. Maintain integrity and performance efficiency of the databases. SQL tuning and Unix scripting skills are required.
Additional responsibilities of the position include:
· Project Management for assigned projects using JJHCS Project Management Framework as the procedure and template for project initiation and documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS
· BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Must have 10+ years of Data Management experience including, IMS, Oracle 9i/10G, DataStage.
· Must have demonstrated the ability to lead diverse teams to achieve desired results.
· Familiarity with Computer Systems Validation protocols.
· Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must possess strong business processes knowledge.
· Must have excellent teamwork skills as well as be self-directed.
