MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: BS Electrical Engineering. Use of National Electrical
Code (NEC) and ANSI standards. IEEE membership. Registration as
professional engineer (PE) is preferred. EIT license is required.
Experience with: 1) ABB, Powell, General Electric, Cutler Hammer,
Square D and Siemens switchgear and or control gear. 2) Variable
frequency drives. 3) SCI (AMETEK), Cyberex and Gutor industrial
grade UPS systems and flooded & dry type batteries. 4) Load sharing
for parallel generators including modes of operation. 5) Power
system studies and relays coordination using ETAP or SKM software.
6) Various types of induction and synchronous motors and generators.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide direct operational and maintenance support of the electrical
power systems for NAOO onshore and offshore oil producing
facilities. This includes all aspects of the power utilization
systems from 120 VAC up to 69KvAC. Primary tasks are as follows:

1) Project support with respect to defining the scope, conduct
design reviews for compliance with industry standards, and the
inspection and commissioning of new electrical equipment including
motors, generators, switchgear, UPS systems & batteries, and power
monitoring systems.
2) Lead forensic investigation teams for the analysis of individual
electrical equipment or power system faults or failures and provide
immediate recommendation & solutions to Operations and Maintenance
personnel.
3) Use of ETAP software to perform power system load flow, short
circuit studies, motor starting analysis and relays coordination for
the various facilities.
4) Review new corporate engineering standards and proposed revisions
to existing standards.
5) Assist and direct Maintenance technicians in troubleshooting
electric equipment related problems such as with protective
relaying, switchgear, transformers and large induction and
synchronous motors and generators.
6) Mentoring junior Saudi Engineers.
