Basic Criteria:- BE (Comp Sci) preferred. However, this will not be a limiting factor for a candidate who meets all other requirements.
Sun Solaris Admin I, II certification preferred.
Experience Range :-3-5 years
Job Description:- MANDATORY SKILLS WOULD BE UNIX,SOLARIS,SHELL SCRIPTING
We're looking for someone that will revise our UNIX systems, propose improvements to bring the systems up to SUN, BIND and Sendmail recommended security and configuration standards and implement these proposals after approval. A monitoring and reporting infrastructure is to be put in place to assure maximum availability and reporting. Operational procedures are to be written for the L2 Operations Staff to do day-to-day administrative work and trouble shooting.
Experience in HP-UX
Required Skillset:
Minimum 3 years experience working in a Solaris Environment, managing Sendmail, BIND, DNS domain registration etc.
The profile requires expertise in these areas:
Installation, configuration, fine tuning, security aspects, monitoring, reporting and administration of:
• Solaris systems (version 7, 8 & 9 on SUN Sparc servers)
• Solaris backup/restore strategies
• Sendmail
• BIND DNS
• In-depth knowledge of the above is absolutely necessary
• Good knowledge about networking, security, Internet mail, DNS, Domain Name registration and management procedures & proxy servers is required.
Optional:
If possible experience with Trend Micro Viruswall software
Experience with CiscoWorks on Solaris platforms is a plus
