2. Software Engineer – Network Management
Main Responsibilities
(Team responsibilities)
Interface to Systems and Product Marketing to review and agree the requirement specifications.
Interface to the Embedded Software team to define and agree the requirements/interactions between the two parts of the product.
To design and develop features as required/agreed to support the product roadmap.
Assist in the provision of estimates, as required, for Change Requests.
Provide fixes and/or work rounds for both internal and external incident reports.
Skills & Experience
(3 years+)
OO Design and development.
Perl, C++.
UNIX (Solaris/Linux).
Skills & Experience - Desirable
Web Programming (java-script/HTML/CGI/XML).
Network Programming (Sockets, TCP/IP) and familiarity with protocols such as TL1, SNMP, OSI, RPC, and HTTP.
Telecoms – Ethernet, ATM, DSL, H.248.
Clearcase.
Personal Attributes
Strong problem solving ability.
Enthusiastic and strong team player.
Finisher/completer.
