Definition (Architecture) , design & testing of High Speed boards design (upto GHz ) which will be used for post-silicon validation of complex System-On-Chip devices. Interfacing with the Design & Verification teams to ensure that features & performance of the board are adequate to validate the functionality and performance of the device.
Interfacing with Board design vendor and contract manufacturer to ensure correctness at all stages of the implementation. Discussing & finalising board specs with the SW Applications team and the Digital Verification teams. Good understanding of standard digital interfaces used in industry (eg: USB2.0, SDIO, This will be a fairly new activity at the TI India level and there is an expectation that the candidate will be able to not just sustain this activity but grow it (in terms of larger scope of work and larger number of products) PCB layout, Board trace sim, Signal integrity, emulation, boundary scan, board level circuit design. Should be able to understand and run test benches in simulation environments. FPGA expertise is essential. Will interact across the SW Applications team (AVV), Chip verification team (DV) and Si Val teams. Apart from this routine and continuous interaction with the vendor (Presently WIPRO) This job will enable the engineer to be one of the first people to lay hands on & use the latest chip that has been designed by DSP Systems. Over time, the person will have the opportunity to get familiar with the end-application too:such as video products, automotive infotainment, broadband access etc
