Job Description:
Arcot is seeking a Functional Test Engineer (QA) to drive software testing of its leading products. You will be responsible for design and development, execution of functional test cases for web based client server applications in multi tier architecture on various platforms, reporting the results and maintenance of manual and automation test cases across multiple products. You will be required to install, deploy, and test the application. You must have strong technical and communication skill and must have worked in a fast paced product development environment.
This position reports to the QA Lead.
Job requirements:
• At least 2 years of experience black box testing of enterprise server products is mandatory.
• Should have worked with design, development and execution of test cases for Web, client server based enterprise applications.
• Candidate has hands on scripting experience with one or more of the
GUI based functionality testing tools (WinRunner, QTP).
• Must be a quick learner and willing to do manual testing with sound knowledge of operating system (either UNIX or Windows) and a good understanding of database concepts, Web and Application Servers.
• Hands on experience with configuration management, defect tracking tools.
• Effective verbal and written communication with ability to think creatively and abstractly. Should be able to collaborate effectively with engineering teams to understand various technical, product details.
• Extremely proactive and detail oriented.
Minimum Experience: 2 years.
Educational Qualification: Bachelors or Master degree in Computer Science/Engineering from premier institutions.
