SYBASE DBA (Positions-1 )
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Engineering department, this position will be responsible for Data Modeling, Design and Development of Stored Procedures and Triggers, assisting with maintenance of software documentation and the maintenance of product releases. This position requires an accomplished leader with strong technical knowledge and with proven software development capabilities.
Responsibilities:
• Data Modeling And Design
• Automation of Installation, Upgrades and EBFs of Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise
• Developing T-SQL stored procedures and triggers by interacting with developers
• Provide database administration for Sybase environments in Development and QA labs
Requirements & Skills:
• Strong DBA experience with Sybase 12.5.X RDBMS (3+ years)
• Data Modeling, Writing Stored Procedures and Triggers using TSQL
• 3+ years development experience in a client-server/n-tier environment.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows platforms and operating systems
• A four year college degree in computer science or equivalent discipline
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Understanding of the Internet, intranet, and web-related technologies
• Data warehousing and exposure to ORACLE RDBMS (10g) is a plus
