Medicare has been developed as a core package, which addressed all the major functional areas of hospital management. The project keeps track of the details about the daily activities carried out in a hospital. The main objective of the system is to minimize the work for the administrative department. The system comprises of reception which maintains details about the patient?s admission and discharge, out patient?s details, pharmacy and admin instruction details. Reports are also generated to do analysis and decision making about the business needs and enhancements .Every hospital is unique in terms of its requirements and priorities. Hence flexibility is built into Medic care, which allows for easy customization to suit individual hospital management system.
