Work Description:
Idea Cellular — the two-way joint venture between Tata & Birla — was called Birla Tata AT&T initially when it has a third partner i.e US-based AT&T and was renamed in May 2002. It was set up in January 2001 following the merger of Tata Cellular and Birla AT&T Communications and is India's leading cellular services provider.
Business Support and Control System (BSCS) is a highly flexible set of applications that can be easily customize to suit each client's specific business environment. Modules include a rating engine that processes call records transmitted from mobile switching centers.
Responsibilities:
BSCS: I have successfully carried out following responsibility:
§ Payment posting and adjustments to customer accounts through Payment Input Handler (PIH)
§ Generating different types of reports as per the requirements of different departments.
§ Ensure the smooth functioning of Call rating and solve call rejections as ISERV,ISUBS,USERV,USUBS,UCUGU,ICUGU,NTMEF,NTICO
§ Uploading of rejected CDR’s into the Database
§ Ensure the smooth functioning of Service Provisioning through Generic Mediation Device (GMD)
§ Perform Billing through Bill Cycle Handler (BCH)
§ Processing of InRoamers (TAPIN) and Out Roamers (TAPOUT) files.
§ Developed scripts for processing TAPIN and TAPOUT files.
§ HAD numbers generation on a weekly basis which shows the revenue over other telecom Industries.
§ SIM CARD Handling Processes which includes Sim Procurement (Creating Purchase Order),SIM Authentication (generate command file and to Switch deptt. For Authentacation) and finally make the SIM Cards Available for Distribution.
§ System Administration (Creating BSCS ID’s, Reset passwords, Providing rights)
PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
I have around one year of rich experience in Billing and development. In existing billing system, I used to monitoring the operations related to the billing software BSCSv6.0. Administer Service Provisioning entries for early clearance and proper functioning of Generic Mediation Device (GMD). Generate the post billing and month –end reports by using the system utilities. Run different batches for the generation of Exposure Management Reports (EMR) as well as Call Rejection Reports and involve in solution of call rejections. Handling Customer Administration Module, KV Module, System Administrative module, Resource Administration etc.
