Role: Junior Database Administrator.
Scope:
As a junior database administrator, my responsibility Includes handling the production and development databases. Following are the activities which defines my key responsibilities:
1. Ensuring the Backup of the database and Updating the Backup Register.
2. Monitoring the database space and adding the datafiles in the database as per the requirement.
3. Monitoring the alert log file for the various ORA error.
4. Installing the Oracle Software and creating the database as per the requirement.
5. Schema management such as creating and maintaining the users, tablespaces.
6. Exporting/importing the various schemas between databases (between production and development databases).
7. To work with the developers to perform the DBA related Activity.
Technical Skills:
LANGUAGES: SQL, PL/SQL, JAVA (AWT, SWING).
DATABASE: Oracle10g, 9.x.
PLATFORMS: Linux, Windows 98, XP.
