Project Details - GPS (Global Positioning System)
Title : GPS augmentation using pseudolites for aircraft landing and Missile guidance.
Duration : 3 months
Environment : MATLAB
Overview : Global Positioning System (GPS) is a satellite based navigation and positioning system developed by the United States’ Department of Defense (DOD). The project demonstrates the augmentation of GPS using pseudolites for accurate positioning. The project also describes the two major applications of GPS in Aircraft landing using pseudolites and GPS independent pseudolite based missile guidance system. It is proved using MATLAB simulations that a configuration of satellites and GPS receiver with highest volume will have least Dilution of Precision (DOP) value and hence best accuracy of positioning.
Project Role : My responsibilities & role in this project included the study of the base GPS system, carrying out mathematical analysis on Dilution of Precision (DOP), a parameter of central importance in the project and setting & studying the effects of different geometries on the DOP value, which formed the core part of the project work.

Title : Developing a pipe driver for VxWorks

Overview : Our Project “DEVELOPING A PIPE DRIVER FOR VxWorks” deals with writing a device driver to know the internal functionality of how the I/O functions work out. This device is then used for intertask communication.
