Title: ISOLATION AND SCREENING OF FUSARIUM SPS FOR OLEAGENICITY

Brief Description:
Fusarium sps are important organisms recognized for accumulation of oils and fats intracellular. Those micro organisms capable of producing fats are referred as “Oleaginous mo’s” and oil from such organism is called “Single cell Oil “ (SCO).
We went for isolation and screening of fusarium sps for oleagenicity. isolation of these organism from various natural sources like soil and screening is done on modified Czapek-Dox with nitrogen restricted medium extractions is done by using Soxhlet apparatus with light petroleum ether. The extracted oil is used for edible and technical purpose, In future as it substitute for high value of plat oils.
