Set up in July 2000, Craftsbridge (CB) India is a cross channel design and marketing organisation dedicated to the handicrafts industry in India. Our mission is to positively impact the Global Market potential for Indian hand crafted products through innovation in design and marketing. We want to be the bridge between customers worldwide, craftspersons, designers, bulk buyers, researchers and others that form this Community.
A team of design, marketing & operational professionals have promoted and is managing Craftsbridge. The venture represents the entry of professionals in the Indian crafts industry. We sell in the Corporate, Retail and Exports segment.
We offer premium, contemporary designer products in various categories. We also provide 'made-to-order' customized products and designer services for the corporate gift market. In addition, CB sells a wide range of crafts and designer ware sourced directly from regions across India.
CB leverages "industry best practices and web technology" in sourcing, quality, design & marketing to benefit customers and producers.
Activities:
1. Gifts and Interior Projects for Corporates Craftsbridge has aggressively initiated the use of handicrafts as corporate gifts. We have created a range of corporate accessories & gifts using a variety of crafts and have already executed customized corporate orders for over 50 Indian & Global companies. Interior Projects is a new channel initiative which seeks to position handicrafts as viable options to build the ambience of corporate & residential interiors. We have already conceptualized & executed projects in a variety of mediums- from terracotta to textiles.
2. Shop The Cause (Non Profit Organizations/NGO Related) ICICI Bank & Give Foundation has chosen Craftsbridge as a partner for it social initiatives in the Indian crafts sector. This prestigious affiliation has allowed CB to initiate alternatives to assist NGOs in marketing their products through multiple channels and provide design assistance. An online shopping mall- 'Shop the Cause' for NGOs has already been set up. This affiliation has initiated activities with over 25 NGOs currently. The purpose is to offer a direct-to-customers platform for NGOs to sell their products to world markets.
3. Home furnishings for ExportsCraftsbridge has designed their own range in textile home furnishings. These products have been sold in Markets across USA and India. The design team focuses on creating a premium range of bed, table & kitchen linens, cushion covers, curtains, etc. There is consistent effort to combine rich traditional craft skills with contemporary design. We work with natural materials like Silk, Cotton, Jute, and Linen. Our products are created after researching market trends and colors. Having successfully marketed our designs to large Indian stores like Westside, The Bombay Stores, etc.? Craftsbridge has been exporting its products to International customers (especially in USA). We have worked with exclusive boutique and catalogue companies, design houses and medium-bulk wholesalers. Craftsbridge products have been displayed at the NY Gift Fair 2002. We have two Business Development Representatives in USA. Exports retail site We offer a comprehensively cataloged retail online site for all bulk buyers and market representatives. 4. Online We run our own vertical e-commerce portal- www.craftsbridge.com - It is India's premier handicrafts site. The portal offers crafts products through a shopping gateway and the ability to network and form a circle of handicrafts people and designers and individual artisans. The site is affiliated to four other premier Indian sites.
5. Retail- Apparel This new initiative sells to large retail stores- Shoppers stop, Pantaloons and others. We have a stitching and embroidery unit which can make about 4000 garments/textile products in a month and take care of all our sampling requirements.

We have been working with a special objective- to make a difference to the handicrafts business by offering a viable and fair marketplace for artisans and development organizations.
