The Philip’s Music Foundation imparts reliable and uniform music education through courses selectively designed for a diverse range of students, including children, youths and adults, from a novice to those who wish to acquire a professional diploma, with the education for schools and college children as a prime objective.
The school has launched its activities in 1992 as an “Experimental Class for school Children", Later, this class evolved into the Philip’s Schools of music, designed to teach music from the very basics. After extensive, practical trials, the present Philip’s Music school has succeeded in compiling our own child-friendly methods, with the objective of uncovering student's potential and fostering their talents to express themselves freely by music.
Today, Philip’s Music Schools have developed into a broad system and "an examination centre/STUDIO for the prestigious examinations of ABRSM LONDON" with many students and teachers at various locations in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Thousands of students have benefited from the school.
DETECT AND FOSTER MUSICAL TALENT
Philip’s School of Music has three basic concepts:
1. Education at an opportune time
2. Methodology of Group lessons
3. Study of music with an accent on Creativity
EDUCATION AT AN OPPORTUNE TIME
With an objective for children to play and enjoy music, and to acquire and understand the given lessons easily, the Philip’s school gives them appropriate guidance in accordance with the degree of their physical and mental development.
This principle as a concept of timely education, the kids Music Course introduces 4-and 5-year olds to music fundamentals at the time when their aural awareness is rapidly developing. Other Philip’s children's courses also fit the concept of Education at an opportune time.
METHODOLOGY OF GROUP LESSONS
Group instruction(group teaching) have many advantages that enable children enjoy rich musical experiences such as making friends through music, developing coordination and deepening understanding of music through mutual inspiration and participation in ensembles. (Though there are many people playing different instruments at one time student has to fully concentrate only his instrument while listening to others) For this purpose, Philip’s school has adopted a method whereby students can listen and play in a group, learning music while enjoying it.
STUDY MUSIC WITH AN ACCENT ON CREATIVITY
To enable students to develop their imaginative and creative abilities, it is important to help them develop the ability to express themselves by thinking freely. We hope to help them acquire and enhance sensitivity and imagination, which are both sources of creativity, through our comprehensive system of music education |
